Day Four: Tennessee to Arkansas

We woke up and headed for Clarksville. Nick pointed out the "Batman building" as we passed by Nashville, it's a very cool building that from the front looks like Batman's mask. Once in Clarksville Nick took me to the Waffle House that he used to go to when he lived there, very friendly staff and delicious food. We then toured around the area and he showed me his old house and the places that he used to go and where he would shop and events that happened there, it was fun to see the places from a part of his life that I wasn't a part of.  We also got an oil change while we were in town, we got a little worried because they said there may be a leak in the transmission...it was Saturday afternoon so we couldn't take it anywhere till Monday to get it looked at, so Nick was getting a little paranoid about the car but what could we do, we needed too keep moving.
Nick has a good friend who still lives in the area, Tonya, so we went to visit her in the afternoon. She lives up in Kentucky near the boarder with her husband two kids and very cute little dog. It was fun to listen to her and Nick reminiscing and catching up on where all of their old army are now. I ended up being quite the hit with her two kids, Alex almost three and Anabella about one and a half. They were both very sweet and I was really happy to have gotten to hang out with them.
After a very nice visit we headed back towards Nashville and on to Arkansas. It was pretty much dark when we left Nashville, so we missed Memphis and couldn't see any of Arkansas glorious scenery. We didn't think we were missing much. We got in late to the motel and crashed for the night.
